Health and Leadership
University
What is HLU? Health and Leadership University is a monthly training
ground for the best of the best. If you would like your child to learn more about the topics mentioned on this page,
then the time to sign up is now. HLU will enroll a total of 20 youth on a annual basis. Give your child a jump
on life by giving him/her the experience of a lifetime. Today's student needs more than the information taught in the
traditional classroom setting.
There is a need for increased leadership skills.
There is a need for dealing with peer presure.
There is a need for knowing how to fight bullying.
There is a need for learning how to speak in front of a group.
There is a need for an increase in writing skills.
There is a need for learning how to work as a team.
HLU offers learning opportunities,
field trips, conferences, programs and advanced challenges for all who are enrolled.
How do I join HLU? Parents may register their child through the
registration below. Once completed, parents will be contacted for a one-on-one interview. Each interview will
explain the details of the expectations from each family. All registrations must be completed before July 10, 11.
How much does it cost to join HLU? The university
is FREE to all who are accepted into the program. It is sponsored by community donors and the Louisiana Tobacco Free
Living Campaign.
