Dear Friends, Did you know that Baton Rouge has ranked 6th, 4th, 3rd and now 2nd in the country
with the highest rate of AIDS cases? 2nd Two Years In A Row! This is an astonishing statistic in our relatively
conservative community. But, together, we can change this! December
1st is National AIDS Awareness Day and we are going to help make a positive impact in the Greater Baton Rouge community by
raising awareness and funds for the Baton Rouge AIDS Society (BRASS). We are asking 100 area businesses to pledge $200.00
or 10% of your gross sales from your business on any day from January 1, 2012 through April 30, 2012. Will
you please make a pledge to join our team for this worthwhile event? We need your help. In return, we will list your company's name in all promotions and publicity associated with the event. Please feel free to browse this website to find out more about BRASS and what they do in our area.
We hope this helps you have a better understanding of this great organization as you consider joining us in the fight to stop
the spread of this devastating virus. All monies raised from this
event will go directly to BRASS for their outreach services of Project "P.L.A.N.T." (People Living with an AIDS
diagnosis and NEVER TESTED). Should you request your donation be earmarked for a certain area only, we are glad to see
that through as well. Please take a few seconds to fill out the
pledge card below and I will get back in touch with you for more details. Sincerely, Rev. A.J. Johnson
Baton Rouge AIDS Society
How It Works: All we are asking
is that you post information about Businesses for BRASS Day (which we will provide... we can get you small placards
for tables, push cards describing BRASS and how they help the community, legal sized posters to be hung at your office, etc.).
Then, let people know how great you are for helping us make this happen! Thanks
and we will be in contact with you soon with more details on the event! For more information about this event, contact
A.J. Johnson at 225-268-9336 or at STDAIDS@aol.com
